Our teachers use balanced literacy, where they work with groups of students, while the other students are doing Daily 5 activities. One of the main activities includes READ TO SELF. During this activity, students are reading independently, but to make this time of their day stronger, they can read books at their level. Teachers can differentiate books by levels for their students. Students will be excited to read books on their own and it will continue to grow their love of reading! This project will help students in grades K-2. Students will love having books they can read on their own.
