Many of my students do not have access to technology at home. During our reading and writing workshop time, I like to differentiate with a variety of activities so that I may be able to pull small groups of scholars to read with me especially my second language learning students. One of the most desirable learning spots is our Chromebook section but since I only have a few available, most students get just 15 minutes a week. I'd love to extend that time by providing more opportunities for technology activities during our reading and writing time! My goal is to become a fully supported Google classroom where students can learn to make slides, documents and presentations. In addition, they will learn how to upload their projects to share with parents! While a class set of Chromebook would be ideal, I would be humbled and thankful to obtain 6 for a small station for students to access reading through technology.
