I have an eager group of first graders that all wish they could be right by me all the time. Unfortunately that just can't be. However, a document camera would allow them all to see my instructions and examples in real life and real time as if they were one-on-one with me. Currently we have one document camera that is being shared by multiple classes, so we don't always have access to it when we need it. Having one for just our classroom would be a big help and my students would really benefit from it. Although first graders are eager to learn, they are also still building their confidence to be able to do their independent work. This document camera would allow everyone to be confident because they will be able to see exactly what is expected of them.
