By helping our classroom purchase these headphones, students will have the ability to hear books read aloud to them during our small group reading centers. Our students love using engaging websites such as Freckle, Epic, Moby Max, Tumble Books, and Storyline Online. Currently, students have access to 6 shared chromebooks to use during our centers, but they have to turn their volume down in order to prevent distracting their classmates. This means they miss the opportunity to really listen and immerse themselves into the story! Hearing varying readers will improve their fluency, expression, and comprehension. With these headphones, we hope to improve our students overall reading abilities and help them build the strong foundation that they need to succeed in 2nd grade and beyond!
