To kick off Black History Month, we will be hosting assemblies for our students in grades K-5 with twin sisters, African American authors, Jordan and Joelle Hernandez! This will provide our students the opportunity to meet two incredible authors to begin their classroom studies and celebrations of Black History Month! It is not every day that students have the chance to meet and interact with an author and this will be an experience that so many of our students have never had before! Providing each classroom teacher with a copy of this book will help enhance print-rich learning in a mostly digital age! Students will have the opportunity to read and make connections with characters Sasha and Sophie over and over again!
