This is my first year of teaching and I am looking to organize my very first classroom. With your help I can organize curriculum in safe storage that is also usable for kids. For example I would like to use the Carson bags to store bulletin pieces, pictures, calendar pieces etc in a monthly bag. For the sterilite crates I will be creating classroom storage for books that are saved for specific months. These crates will also be designed as seats for students. The journals will be used as math journals, and ELA journals. I have provided glossary pages for back of the math books. For the star spots, most of my students feel first grade shouldn't have a carpet. Students feel a little more responsible and it is still an effective way to seat students. I have selected a theme for my room which is to replicate the outside. I am using the green as grass, and will supply blue, and brick as well. For the office trays, I will be using these for my writing stations. I will have pre selected papers that will be ready for my students to grab after I model whole class. The trays will save me time and keep things neat. With the nail gun I am creating seat crates and need a sturdy way to staple down fabric onto the wood I will be supplying. I would also like to remove thumb tacks in my classroom and instead I would like to use magnets. I use stamps as a reward for students as they come in for lining up nicely. Many of my stamps are words of encouragement or pictures of a theme we are working on. I laminate all important art work for students to take home.
