My name is Mrs. Wilkey, and I have the greatest job ever! I teach 5th and 6th graders all about reading at the best school ever. The entire staff at my school cares about students and works hard to make every student successful. We are transforming student lives and they are transforming us! These students are truly amazing. As an urban school, our students face many adversities the biggest being poverty. Many of our parents have multiple jobs just to make ends meet. Despite the challenges faced by our students, they come to school each day excited to learn. My students are so smart and resilient, that I want them to have the very best learning environment and resources possible. School for my students is a safe place to be themselves. It's a place where every student is met where they are academically and socially and is supported and encouraged to reach new heights.
