I want to create fun and hands-on learning experiences for my learners. I have noticed that many of my students have a difficult time with their fine motor skills, which is why many of my activities include strengthening those skills. The letters kit includes tweezers which help build the muscles in their hands. The tracing table will teach kids how to hold a pencil as well as how to form letters accurately. The students also need magnetic letters to help with their letter knowledge and the hands-on component makes learning fun! Playdough mats also make letter learning fun. Kids love playing with playdough already, so making use of the letter mats just allows students to learn through play. Preschool is a time for discovery, play, and learning. I am new to my district as well as my position this year. I am in need of more age appropriate supplies for my students to use. Manipulatives also really help our community of ELL learners.
