This flexible seating will give my GIFTED students who long for choice and flexibility take charge of their learning environment. During their group or independent work time, they can choose a location that works best for them. Currently, my students are using leftover carpet squares, different tables, or sitting or laying on the floor with clipboards. I believe offering them a choice of comfortable seating will boost their motivation and keep them more engaged. With this choice of seating, I believe my students will be noticeably more engaged and less disruptive to the students around them. Our class is always on the move and working collaboratively in fun and engaging lessons that require movement. The comfy floor seats will allow them to move around the classroom easily with little disruption to other students. I have seen the difference flexible seating has made in other classrooms in my school and I believe my students deserve the same. I know this seating will make my little BEES fly even higher!
