Reading can take you places! You can let your imagination flow when you are immersed in a story you like. Reading is also a very important skill that every kid needs to develop. I am requesting bean bag seats, mats and conversation cubes for a comfortable and safe place inside the ESOL classroom to read and practice their language. I can tell that all my students love reading, but our chairs are too uncomfortable for them to focus only on their stories. We have a good class library, however, we are in need of a safe and cozy space for them to really concentrate on what they are reading. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' confidence in their reading skills and understanding meaningful texts and books, stories to remember. When you are learning a new language, everything around you counts. From distractions to the sense of belonging, everything matters. My kids are eager to keep learning!
