Gone are the days of drill and practice mathematics. Math class is no longer filled with pencil to paper to answer 50+ math facts. Today, math is hands on and collaboration among students is encouraged. I want to give my students math manipulatives and games to use during our math instructional block each day. Students will use these materials to strengthen their skills of the concepts we are learning. In third grade, we learn many different skills, including multiplication, division, fractions, and area and perimeter. They will use these materials in their math center rotations to allow valuable skills practice in a fun, engaging, interactive manner.
