Welcome to my amazing classroom full of eager and very curious third graders. I need funding from partners like you to help make my projects happen. I want to do all I can to help my students be excited about school. We are a school in urban Atlanta that serves primarily refugee children. We have a large community of ESOL learners. These children have not had an easy beginning to their short lives. Many of them have spent time in refugee camps under extreme hardship. All children have the right to learn in a safe environment. Our school provides a holistic education and is an IB world school. These eager third graders have a thirst for knowledge and a curiosity that never wanes. I love the fact we have such a diverse student body. These children amaze me with their maturity and interaction with others. As a teacher, I love working with not only a diverse student body but a diverse teaching team. It is so interesting to learn about where others have lived and their personal histories.
