"I love first grade" was the statement made by one of my students to her mom as she began her new year. I have been teaching first grade for 18 years and to be able to excite students is always my goal. My classroom is a busy place with 26 first graders eager and excited to learn how to read and manipulate numbers. From the first day of school to the last, my class is full of activities that keep students engaged in learning while creating lasting memories and friendships.
