Children are made to move and experience learning differently than adults. The stools and discs will be used as an alternative seating choice for the students. These specific seats not only give the students a comfortable place to sit but also benefit students with ADHD or sensory processing disorder by continually using their core muscles to stay balanced. Wobble seats allow children to channel their natural need to move in a positive way. These options will help to increase student choice when deciding where they will learn best. If a student is struggling with their learning space, they will be encouraged to choose a new seat. Students will be actively taught how to monitor their learning engagement and how to choose appropriately. Using this type of seating will allow more students to be actively engaged in lessons. Behavior incidents will decrease and motivation will increase, when students have a say in their learning environment.
