My students are from an area of high poverty. Due to the levels of poverty our school district has been able to receive a grant to provide every student In our district with FREE breakfast and lunch. Due to the economic standing of many families often doing homework and practicing reading take a back seat due to conflicting work schedules. That being said we have a high percentage of students who are reading below level.
