I am a 2nd grade teacher in a school that is located in Palm Beach County, Florida. I teach a self-contained classroom. The students I work with come from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Many of them are new to our country and are just learning the language. Many of them live in single-parent households. Some of them come from families that have one or more parents in the military. In addition to these challenges, many of them have special needs. Despite the many challenges they face, all of my students deserve the best throughout the school day!
