Students at my school love coming every day. They are eager to learn and be challenged daily. With the cutting of Title 1 services, cuts from the state, and cuts from district budgets, meeting the desires of our students becomes increasingly difficult. Some students in my second grade classroom have a reading level of pre-primer. They are expected to read material at a second grade level, but unfortunately they cannot. Materials to help them become successful readers are desperately needed.
