By providing multiple copies of high interest books to my students, it is my hope that these reluctant readers will fall in love with the act of reading for pleasure and become life-long readers. These book selections reflect an assortment of contemporary young adult literature with diverse characters that my students will easily to relate to, sympathize with, and learn from. My students have shown an interest in independent reading and a willingness to share what they've read with their peers sparking even more interest in the few books I've been able to provide them. Adding these titles to my classroom collection will help foster a love of reading and create life-long readers out of my students.

About my class
