As a teacher in a rural, economically disadvantaged school district, it is difficult to make budgeting decisions. I have to decide between buying tape and staples or pigs and frogs. My decisions are always made with students in mind, and I end up buying, tissues, notebooks, pencils, markers, and many materials from my own pocket. In order to allow students the same opportunities as those who attend larger, more affluent districts, I must make requests on this site. There are so many items that I need and just can't fit into my annual budget. Anatomy models are approximately $2,000 each. Microscopes are each $1,000. Any items received through this program will provide the building blocks for success in high school and beyond, particularly those in the field of biology and the medical field.
