In my classroom students work independently, with a partner, or in a small group. They are expected to make wise choices about where they work in the classroom. I find that many students choose to work on the floor, but it is not very conducive to written work. Students are hunched over their math or writing while on the floor. The Surf mobile writing desks will greatly improve student focus and finished product of student work. The Surf is both a surface and a seat in one, because it is not stationary my students will be excited about using the unique desks. It can be taken into the hall, anywhere in the classroom, and even outdoors! My students will be very engaged in their work whether using it to do research with a Chromebook, writing a story, or partners working out a math problem on the plastic surface with a dry erase marker. The Surf will be a perfect addition to our classroom!
