I have a wonderful class of 26 first graders. Despite 30% of students entering 1st grade below grade level my students are working to become Reading Redhawks and make over a year's worth of reading growth to end the year on grade level. Our team is deeply invested in reading and working hard daily. Our classroom takes pride in supporting each other and pushing critical thinking skills, even when it's difficult. My students work relentlessly to push their scores higher and prepare them for success in second grade, third grade and beyond!

About my class
