First graders love to share everything they know. As their teacher, they love to tell me every connection they are making, read me every story they have written, and every other moment of insight. With 24 kiddos sharing their thinking, I don't have the opportunity to hear them all. Having 2 student iPads will allow me to use a fantastic classroom app called SeeSaw which provides students with a secure place to share their learning and thoughts. SeeSaw is a digital portfolio that is shared between the student, the student's family, and the teacher. With Seesaw, the children will be able to take pictures of their work, record their thinking, and then post it to their portfolio. It promotes independence and provides an opportunity for all to share instead of the few I am able to reach during a particular lesson.
