The materials I am requesting will allow over 100 students to create art across curricular areas. Student artists will learn about spatial relationships, linear perspective, symmetry and asymmetry, and geometric and organic shapes. We will study art from around the world and use it as inspiration for our own artwork. Through art, we will study our history and how art reflects the culture of the time and place in which it was created. Art will help us see the world from multiple perspectives. By donating to this project, you will not only help foster the students creativity, but ultimately help improve their academic achievement. Art helps improve reading and language skills, thinking skills and social skills. In addition, a robust art program will contribute to the overall positive environment of our school.
