These books that I am requesting will help my students grow as readers and writers. I was inspired by my daughter whom is a 3rd grade teacher which she has incorporated book study groups during her guided reading. Her students have increased their love for reading, as well as increased their vocabulary and language skills. I strongly believe that these books for the book study will give my students the opportunity to build on their vocabulary, author meaning, and the ability to answer higher level questions. They work so hard to get to this level and I want to continue to make it challenging as well as fun.
