Our school is only in its second year with just the most needed materials. My current science "area" is housed on a small donated book shelf. The new science exploration unit will be able to house all of our science books and materials. The materials can be used both inside and outside during our science time. For example, we can take the magnifying glasses on a nature hike to explore our environment. When the class conducts experiments they will stay safe wearing the safety goggles. The Mighty Magnets will be used during our study of properties of materials. The very cool Transparent Light and Color Blocks will be used all the time. Our students can engineer and design structures with these blocks. These science materials will create an environment conducive for exploring the mysteries of science.
