By having a choice in their seating, students can pick what works best for them and their needs. We already have a few choices for alternative seating and they have been very popular with students. I have seen how much more students are focused and engaged when they are comfortable and their physiological needs are met. Having an area for standing while they work has been a popular choice in the past. I hope with the standing desks that it can be much more effective and accessible to students. With the wobble cushions, students can use them to sit on the floor around a low table or tray, or use them in their seats to provide a little "wiggle room." The balance chairs will be able to be moved around the room so students who need that support can use them.
