Creating PowerPoints, videos, character webs, and books are just some of the things that my students use their computers for in Literacy throughout the year. Unfortunately sharing this material with their classmates is difficult without a projector. A projector will allow my students the ability to display their work to the class and present projects. Having a projector in the classroom will enrich the learning experience. There are many times that students are unfamiliar with places and objects that they are reading about. A projector will allow the class to view these before or during the reading. The class will be able to view videos and TeacherTube/YouTube clips that help enhance what the curriculum. This projector will be utilized by the students and me (the teacher) everyday!
