My students are enthusiastic learners, hoping for a better life for themselves and their families. My classroom is full of students with difficult home lives and little family support of learning (due to the lack of parental education). Our school is a Title I school in Chattanooga, but our funding has been cut drastically in recent years. I have many students with individual education plans with learning difficulties. I have great support staff, but their time in my room is very limited. At times, we will have 4 adults in the room for a 15 minute period, but more often there will only be one teacher. I strive to make a positive impact on their lives and their learning, offering hope for a bright future!
