A document camera will provide my students with a front row seat no matter where they are seated in the room. The document camera will be used to help students improve their writing skills. Students need to be able to see what the class is working on and the document camera allows for as little or as much teacher support a student needs. This will also allow for students to see correct handwriting strokes. This can be very difficult when looking on the whiteboard. A document camera will provide twenty five students with interactive visual access to what is being taught in the classroom. The document camera not only displays documents but allows for internet images to be projected as well. A document camera in the classroom would mean that students will no longer be an oral presentation without visual aids. Students will be able to see in real time, cutting out the wait time for visuals to appear on a screen. A document camera can project any image onto the whiteboard. This is very beneficial when working with manipulative in math as well as reading and writing. This will allow for a variety of visual aids and models for students with a variety of learning styles and needs.
