Research shows that every child has a specific learning style, therefore, not all children can learn successfully sitting in a chair at a desk all day. I want to create a more comfortable and inviting classroom that provides my students with flexible seating options so students that have difficulty sitting all day long can still be actively engaged while sitting on a bean bag chair, pillow, or stool. Additionally, I want to create more hand-on learning opportunities for students. Having more manipulatives like magnetic ten frames and student-friendly technology like the Osmo Genius will allow more academic growth in the classroom.
