My students need non-fiction reading selections, letters, an easel, and games that will foster and improve reading skills through balanced literacy and guided reading. Your generous donation will allow that for my first graders who are learning to be readers and writers. These materials will be used during our guided reading and daily 5 reading centers daily. My role in guided reading is to enhance students learning through scaffolding instruction and these items will help do that. All materials will benefit fluency, phonemic awareness, writing, comprehension, and vocabulary skills and will allow my first graders to have fun while learning!
