My vision for this project is to help my students foster a love for reading. In order for this to happen, they need to be interested in the books that are in our classroom library. My students crave culturally relevant books to see themselves as main characters within their own lives as they make sense of the world that they live in. When children see books they relate to, they will often choose to read the book and enjoy it because they can connect with the text. With these books, I hope my students feel proud of who they are and where their families have come from. I hope you can help my students foster a love for reading.
