Children begin to read in kindergarten. In order to read they need to learn that sounds go with letters, letters make words, words become sentences and sentences become stories. These games will engage students while reinforcing the small group lessons that sounds and letters go together. These games will encourage letter/sound recognition and independence with self-success. All the while they will only think they are playing. Isn't that real learning at its finest? Now give us books we can read and we will have READERS! Students that can read can go anywhere and be anything. To some, these adventures will be all they have. To others, the books will reinforce or extend their experiences.
