Our class meets multiple times of the day in a large open floor space to work together. We build social skills, share ideas and dreams, read to one another, play games, and talk about our day. We have laminate flooring and need a comfortable place to gather. Having a large classroom rug would help my students by showing them exactly where we will meet, making our meeting space comfortable, inspiring them to come together for encouragement, and continuing the momentum of the classroom community. This project will definitely enrich our 2nd-grade classroom by bringing us together to grow all year!
