Magical! That's the way I am hoping my year will be for my students! From my Harry Potter themed room to seeing magical things happen in their little minds through many brain tingling STEM activities. I am starting my 11th year of teaching at a new district, new school, & new grade level. I am going to be impacting 23 3rd grader's lives this year at the opening year of the Marion Math, Science, & Technology Magnet School! I'll be teaching all subjects but will be infusing math, science, & technology into all of the curriculum areas. We are at a high poverty area in the Arkansas delta. Many students come from single parent homes or live with other family members. "Our kids" for the school year do not get most of the opportunities that other students in America are awarded. As a teacher I want to allow them to experience as much as possible and expand their minds while they are "mine" from 8-3 each day.
