Nowadays, you're more likely to see kids playing video games than putting together traditional puzzles. Yet, fine motor skills are important in everyday development. Puzzles are very important to develop emotional skills, cognitive skills, and physical skills. Your donation will give my Kindergarten students a fun and special table to play new puzzles that will challenge their thinking and exercise their minds. When children complete puzzles with their friends they develop vocabulary, increase small muscle development, develop eye hand coordination, improve memory skill, increase problem solving skills, and build literacy skills. When my students go home they are put in front of the television or a video game. They do not get the opportunities to interact with family or friends in quality games that are educational and support their mental learning. When they come to class they will see a fun, puzzle table and not even realize that they are learning when they are playing.
