The students grow herbs and sell them to teachers. The money is used to fund field trips for students in the functional program. Purchasing these items has become very expensive and this will provide the students the opportunity to continue to learn to grow food. Students also use the herbs when they cook in their Functional Skills class. The biggest sellers are basil, cilantro and dill. With the variety packs the students will be able to try new herbs and use them to cook. The students love to take care of the gardens and cook with the herbs. Some students even bring the herbs home to share with their families!
