I am requesting a class set of seat sacks meant to hang on the back of student chairs. Seat sacks turn ordinary chairs into an essential independent storage space for every student and will also promote physical distancing. Seat sacks will also allow students to quickly and easily access materials and tools needed for our daily learning and activities by putting their materials right at their fingertips. Normally, my students would place their items in a community location in the center of each table in a caddy or in baskets/bins. Due to restrictions we will be facing in the Fall, I want to give my students a way to organize and store their personal classroom materials in a matter that will help keep everyone in the classroom safe and protected from potential germs. Additionally, I’m requesting additional pencil boxes to store individual supplies of commonly shared materials such as math manipulatives and art supplies! Students can place this additional pencil box inside of their seat sack and use their personal supply as needed for lessons and projects! I hope you will take this opportunity to invest in our wonderful community and provide support for the education of our youngest students!
