Engineering is an exploratory and hands-on field. Our Project Lead the Way classes teach students to organize their ideas into fully developed plans of execution, while adhering to protocols from all engineering career paths. Students maintain an engineering notebook, which requires extensive supplies of pens and glue to logically document their fieldwork. They also are invested in hands-on construction involving wind tunnels, robots, 3D Printing, among other exciting and innovative STEM-related opportunities. In order to properly execute these assignments, students must stay organized, using organizational bins and flash drives to store their work. The headphones and wireless mice are used with CAD software and instructional support videos. We are fortunate to have been afforded the opportunity to utilize one-to-one student technology in the classroom, but lack certain support accessories to maximize our productivity.
