My students are amazing Learners who actively participate in classroom activities and projects to reach their goals. As a teacher in a low income school, my students are often faced with varying challenges outside their control. They have never let this slow them down! We have adopted a growth mindset this year which states that anyone can learn anything. My students have really taken this to heart and have risen to each and every challenge they have been presented with. School is a level playing field for them and they eagerly take advantage of the support and wealth of knowledge they receive. In my room, we focus on learning while having fun. We love to laugh and explore concepts authentically. I seek to create lessons and design activities that my students will enjoy and therefore be more likely to retain the information presented.
