These books will allow my students to engage with literature in new, fun, and exciting ways! I am starting a book club for students (grades 2 through 5) to read and interact with entertaining literature. My goal is to help foster a love for reading and collaborating with friends about shared literacy experiences. An example of an activity I would do with my students after they read a specific section of the book, they will work cooperatively to answer text based questions. Additionally, they would have opportunities to engage in academic discourse and build relationships, while analyzing the literacy strategies needed to comprehend the story.
