My school is a Title 1 school and services a large number of economically disadvantaged students. My students are all recent immigrants, many are refugees, to the USA and are just starting their journey in learning English. These students need engaging ways to reinforce their learning in math and reading. My students struggle with basic concepts and need motivation to get assignments completed. If they knew that there would be fun and varied activities to do once they have finished, they would be more focused and would work harder to get their work done.
