Grade 5 Titles covers literacy foundations in phonics and fluency, language conventions, language vocabulary, literature comprehension skills, science informational text comprehension skills, and social studies informational text comprehension skills. VersaTiles encourages hands-on learning and discovery, driving a deeper understanding, and helping students unlock their full potential. VersaTiles is an alternative to traditional skills practice, creates a safe learning environment that increases student confidence, is self-checking, and is a low-prep classroom solution to reinforcing state and national literacy standards. This product helps students build literacy proficiency in a challenging, rewarding way, and can be used for independent practice, small groups, rotations, centers, and stations. My students and their parents are constantly asking me for ways to improve reading proficiency, comprehension, and test scores. With the school's limited resources and the parents' lack of education and income there hasn't been much assistance I could provide outside of providing students time in class to read and take AR tests and work on an non-engaging educational program. I have been instructing students to read at home for at least 20 minutes a night and then have their parents ask them some comprehension questions from a list I have provided. I have shown my students videos of this product, because I was planning on purchasing it with my school funds. They were so intrigued and begged me to order it. Unfortunately, this product is not available on any of our partner sites and I am unable to afford it on my own.
