My first grade students face each day with various challenges including poverty, unstable home life, and most recently, the Gulf Coast Oil Crisis. Despite these adversities, they always come to school eager to learn new and exciting things. They are an energetic group of 6 year olds that long for a stable, safe environment. Thankfully, they attend a school where this environment is provided for them. While at school, the smiles on their faces could light up a room.

About my class
