The artists in my art room are engrossed in technology every place they turn in school except in my room! I use a smart board and try to incorporate as much tech savvy learning as possible, but nothing engages a student more than hands on experience. With the help of tablets my students will be able to explore creative apps, make digital art work, share and show off art work and explore today's modern computer driven world. My students count down the days to our photography lesson that we do every year, this time allows them to show their true selves while being photographed by other students. My artists are missing out on the current imagecentric apps that they could show off their work on. These online mediums allow us to explore, gather inspiration, from other creative outlets in unlimited ways. With the use of these tablets we would also have the ability to make our digital art gallery come alive! Parents miss out on a lot of the work that students produce due to being lost, damaged, forgotten, lunch spilled on, or out the window of the school bus. This wouldn't happen as everything would be online for family viewing before it even left the art room.
