We have an incredibly diverse group of students that come from many different cultures, economic backgrounds, and families. Although their differences are many, they are united under a common passion for community service. We have worked hard over the past 5 years to instill an altruistic mindset among the student body, and they have certainly answered the call. We have been able to raise funds for the Red Cross during the Haiti earthquakes. They annually raise funds for local animal shelters. We have taken part in food drives and coat drives for students. The best part? These projects are student derived and managed. I am simply a facilitator. Uniting over this common banner of service (inspired by the words of the great Dr. King), we work daily to answer the "why" questions, including the biggest question of all, "Why will this help us make a positive impact on our society?"
