The three microphones will allow our students to gain confidence and experience at live performance. The mics would be used for ensemble and solo performances of the band, orchestra, chorus and the annual variety show. This fall, we put on a Broadway-style performance of "Mary Poppins," but we had endless issues using the existing microphones. They cut in and out during all three performances and caused constant stress and anxiety to the students who were trying so hard to be heard. We have the talent, but we simply do not have appropriate sound equipment to meet these students' potential. We are hoping that the three microphones will help us build up the sound system to a point where we can include even more students as participants in our musical endeavors.
