As a former basketball player, nothing sounds better than a brand new ball bounding off the rim, or the floorboards during a game. Unfortunately, most of our basketballs are old, and don't have the bounce they used to and the kids know this and do not get excited about playing basketball. Rather than letting their "Safe space" for basketball become boring, we need to provide our students an outlet from the world, where they can just dribble and play a game with their friends. When I was growing up, I had many people who stepped up and provided me with a safe outlet, now it is our opportunity to step up and provide it to the next generation. Together we can provide a safe space for our students, one basketball at a time!

About my class
