The halls and classrooms of my school are constantly filled with eager voices. Our students are super smart, incredibly funny, and genuinely excited about learning. Unfortunately, the majority of them are also underprivileged. A full 85% of our population receives free or reduced lunch and everyone is eligible for free breakfast. Oftentimes, we can't even provide students workbooks of their own, let alone the resources they need to experience an innovative, technology-infused learning environment. According to a recent study, it is exceptionally difficult for those born into poverty in the state of Georgia to overcome their given socioeconomic status. The odds may appear to be stacked against our kids, but we're here to break down those walls, reject dismal projections, and give them the chance to shine brightly by any means necessary!
