Music and the arts are integral to our lives, and access to instruments is essential to musical education. Arlington Middle School will use drums in its PRIDE program to teach life skills to children with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD). The percussion instruments will be housed in the self-contained PRIDE building and utilized exclusively for these exceptional students with special needs. The music teacher, a board-certified music therapist, will use the drums for music-based activities to facilitate non-music goals. Some of these goals will include self-expression, communication, taking turns, sharing, following directions, and teamwork. Thank you for helping us bring this valuable program to our students!
